Today, BTV will air the river-based documentary ‘Nongor’-87th

On Thursday, at 11 o’clock in the morning, BTV’s series on river and environment documentary ‘Nongor-87th episode’ will be broadcast.

Nongor has planted trees on the banks of Madhumati river at Tungipara in Gopalganj on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

In this episode, Nongor (Anchor) explores the past and present environment of Madhumati and its tributary Baghiar river in Gopalganj district.

In this episode, the current image of the historical steamer ghat with the sweet memories of Father of Nations Sheikh Mujibur Rahmans childhood and adolescence has been presented.

While visiting a village on the banks of the river Baghiar in Tungipara, Mr. Razzak Sheikh, a 90-year-old veteran, acknowledged the leadership qualities of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and reminisced about various incidents.

Members of the Nongor (anchor) family of the district branch have planted different species of trees on the occasion of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth anniversary to maintain the balance of biodiversity, nature and environment of Madhumati river.

Mr. Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, convener of Nongor-Gopalganj district branch, local peoples, fishermen and fishermen spoke in this episode.
